It’s taken some time to get to this point, but I have finally decided on a plan of action that will allow me to do what I know how to do and show other people ways to make money online. Although the plan for this site is to use video as a primary means of communication, I am not quite ready for that yet.  I’m still in a planning stage but I am anxious to get started!

So I thought I would at least come out with an introductory post about why this blog was created and where I hope to go with it.

InfoCashMachines.com has been around in various formats since February of 2003 but it wasn’t until more than a year later that the site was redesigned as an ebook membership site.  Although the site looked pretty good and featured a ton of current and constantly updated products, I didn’t know how to drive traffic to the site.  I failed to follow through and learn what I needed to know because I didn’t realize how close I was to success.

The site stayed online and changed format in 2006 but there were too many other irons in the fire by then and it fell through the cracks of my own little Internet empire.  Eventually I took the site down in 2007 and it was off-line until now.

I’ve always loved the domain name: InfoCashMachines.  It evokes an optimistic and hopeful vision to me of earning money online with useful information that helps other people understand how to earn money online. That’s why I kept it and why I’m using it again for this new vision for the site.

I extensively modified this particular WordPress theme called ‘Money Making Blog’ because I don’t want to look like any other site.  My basic idea is to just do what I normally do to make money online like selling things on eBay, for example, and create videos that demonstrate every step of the process from selecting an item to creating the listing, posting the listing on eBay, and on through the completion of the auction.  You get to look over my shoulder as I go through all the necessary processes to generate an income on the Internet.

The videos will be short because my plan initially calls for YouTube as the video host.  Based on past experience, all videos will be around six to six and a half minutes in length so it may take more than one video to demonstrate some things.

I’ll be using Camtasia as my primary video tool along with PowerPoint and my video camera from time to time for variety and to gain more video experience. I’ve been publishing hobby videos on YouTube for two years now and enjoy it a great deal.  This will be my first real experiment with a video blog so I expect to make mistakes but I will keep going. I know I have to keep going to achieve the success I desire with this blog.

After creating a series of videos about using eBay, the next step in my plan is to create various collections of videos about topics such as how to set up a WordPress blog from start to finish or how to use Camtasia to create screen-cam videos, and so on.  You get the picture.

Since I don’t do just one thing to create income on the Internet, I have a lot of ideas to share.

All efforts on InfoCashMachines.com are directed toward the goal of presenting realistic ideas of how to make money online based on things I’m already doing.  If you’ve been interested in learning how to earn money online and you subscribe to many mailing lists from folks who are taking action in Internet marketing, you may get the idea from most of them that this is easy stuff to do and before you know it, you’ll be making a six figure income while you sleep.

I want to set the record straight on a few things and demonstrate how I approach making money online so that you can see not only what I’m doing, but perhaps you’ll even see a better way to do it.  If I can give you some insight that has been missing in your strategy, or some new way of looking at the same old thing then I will have achieved a large part of my goals.  If it were dead easy then obviously more people would find success in making money with the Internet.

Statistics indicate that only 3 people out of 100 who go into Internet marketing are successful in creating a sustainable online income.  Don’t let that scare you though.  With the right mind-set and reasonable goals, you can make enough extra money each month to make your efforts worthwhile.  And you can learn to scale your business up to a level of income where you can start thinking about getting out of the rat race, stop driving the highway to hell every day, and start living the life that you really want to live.

Don’t be put off by what you don’t know.  Everyone starts at the same level and works toward understanding how to do things better until finally they know their business inside and out; no matter what business model you choose.  That’s where I am heading and I hope you want to get there too.  Nothing is easy when you are first starting out but it gets easier with the more time and effort you put into your desired outcome.

I know where I want to go and I have a good idea of how I’m going to get there.  It’s important to have a plan of action and an understanding of how things work so you have a good chance of success.  As the videos are edited and found acceptable to me they will be posted.  But I’ll be here most days with something to offer; even if it is only a little text post such as this.
